The FoBM are very excited to announce that, in 2019, due to the generosity of our community we were able to establishment a Scholarship Fund for students graduating from secondary school in School District 28.  2020 was the first year these scholarships were awarded and the successful recipients were Nickolas Falloon and Bryanna Pontious.  Click on the link’s below to read their respective essays.  Congratulations Nick and Bryanna and all the best in the future!

Award Requirements / Restrictions

1) Letter by student outlining their volunteer contribution to the Bouchie Lake – Milburn Lake community whether it be with an organised group and /or resident / neighbour.
2) 500 word essay on one of the following: (i) A historical event, feature, and /or a person(s) from the Bouchie Lake – Milburn Lake community or
(ii) non-profit group that contributes to the Bouchie-Milburn Community and why volunteering is important in our rural communities.
3) 2 Awards will be provided – one for a male student and one for a female student. The awards will not be granted if there are no qualified applicants.

Awards are restricted to students that reside within the Bouchie-Milburn Community identified as bound by but includes Paradise Road to the East (including Peters Road), Long Road to the West, Pinnacles Provincial Park to the South, and the Blackwater Road / Rawlings Road junction to the North. Student should provide physical address with street number and name.
